GDay,

Can anyone help with any info in changing to a balanced output for the Pre 3, any drawings knocking about.

Hi Bruce, yes indeedy, here're the XL instructions, this is all part of the present WD range and Matthew will be able to help with parts etc

Can I just add that you will need to enlarge the two holes in the PRE III case, to take the small XLR sockets. BOB

Yes, to 11mm diam.

The case is soft aluminium so a taper reamer is best if you have room to use it in the case, http://www.maplin.co.uk/reamer-3869

Otherwise a drill bit held in a handrill chuck etc and rotated against the hole by hand is safest. The existing hole is nearly the correct diam and if you try to use a power drill it will grab violently and may damage the case.
