Default KLS14 speakers - any updates ?

Hi,

I built these WAD KLS14 speakers some years ago and the cabinets now need some refurbishment to the outer surfaces.

Have searched, but so far not found any further details of the KLS14.

Wondered if anyone has seen any article for improving them in any way or even a newer similar sized design similarly suited to a small room ?

thanks

If you built them with cheap standard crossover parts, a good start would be replacing them with Mills resistors and some better capacitors of your choice.

Really, what you need to ask yourself is, are you basically happy with the sound of them?
If yes, then some tweaks could be worthwhile. There is some fun to be had from upgrading if that interests you.
If you are feeling like it is time for a serious upgrade, then you might as well move on to something else.

Phil

Has anyone discovered an easy way to extricate the Seas woofers from their seatings on the 25Ts. I read somewhere of using a bolt with a nut and "threading them into the holes around the rims and using them as a sort of extractor so avoid bending the spider rim.
All this, just in case I decide to make the Taket supertweeters a fixture and I decide to rewire internally.
