Default WD 25T plans needed - please.

After an extensive search for the plans for the WD 25T (or 35T) in all its various flavours I've drawn a blank (literally and metaphorically).

Yes, I've looked at the WD archives (http://www.world-designs.co.uk/forum....php/f-39.html), but unless I'm blind I can't see any plans.(There's a Hi-Fi world article on the 'improved' crossovers I know), but I need the cabinet plans.

If I wanted a standmount I know I could turn to: http://www.seas.no/index.php?option=...its&Itemid=365

Please can anyone help with the cabinet plans?

Many thanks

Check with Matthew as they are probably on the Archive CD that he sells.

Hi Richard, the Platinum CD has the 2006 articles and plans and the 2008 V2 articles. There's quite a lot of reading around the speakers which I'm sure I'd want to do if thinking of building. Plenty about the KEL84 and other WAD/WD amps too, http://www.world-designs.co.uk/cd%20rom.htm

Just to add to Richards post so that Bonky, (another Richard) is aware of some changes, Matthew, our Administrator, very nice chap, now owns all of WAD and WD past and present, so contact him for your needs. BOB

Thanks.

If I can't pick up a good 2nd-had KEL84 in the next week I shall probably be knocking on Matthew's door in Totnes to buy a new kit - so I shall probably be buying the CD as well.

Thanks again,

BW

Bonky/Richard.

PS Is it acceptable to take pics of the build and post them here to ask members to check wiring/component placing and orientation etc before the nail-biting first plug-in? Or is that stretching things a bit too much?

Pictures will be great, the more the better, and, don't be frightened to ask any questions no matter how stupid they may sound. BOB

Hi Bonky
I constructed my WD25t’s based on the plans published in the May 2006 edition of Hifi World magazine. These plans were conceived with 19mm veneered MDF as primary construction material. In my case because I used 25 mm ply I had to work backwards from the internal volume of these original plans to arrive at my final dimensions. I am not aware of any other build plans for the floorstanding WD25t ever being published, other than a number of revisions of the tweeter and crossover specs. I used the “ex” spec crossover and Seas millenium tweeter.
Regards
Phil.

The original WD25T articles are May and June 2006 which followed from 3 previous WD25A articles.
The WD25T V2 articles are listed as Designing Speakers Part 17 and 18 in July and Aug 2008 and a review with measurements by Noel in Sept 2008.
There are a lot of other speaker articles on the CD and I've not read them all by any means but I would at least have a check through for relevant info if I was considering building them
