Re: WD 300b pp won't power up
Hi,
Check fuses first and the mains wall socket by plugging in a table lamp or similar. If they're ok it may be the mains power switch contacts burned out. Mine went a few years back. Unplug from mains and check that it's connecting when switched by probing the tags using your multimeter set to continuity. Confirm or fix temporarily by connecting the 2 blues together and 2 browns together, insulate them carefully, then switch on at the mains to see if the amp works again. If so it's a rotary and pretty sure I got mine from RS as (maybe) 351-140. Check your panel hole is 25.5mm x 26.5mm. It may come as DPDT with 6 tags so you'd just use 4 as on/off rather than changeover. If in any doubt about mains get an electrician to take a look |

Re: WD 300b pp won't power up
Hi again,
I don't know if you've made any progress. I read the problem as "no power" so started with a known issue with the rotary mains switch. If you have further info or symptoms such as "heaters lit but no sound" etc there are many other things it could be (try another GZ37 for instance) so let us know and we'll try and help. |
