Default build your own subwoofers

fancy some 15 or 18 inch subs? stereo, its out there, get a pa cabinet, find some pa drivers, an active xover and a solid state amp, there ya go. cost? if your careful, £260 plus the amp. again if you get a cheap one, perhaps £360 for twin 18 inches and over 100 watts of power driven actively.

hows that, even horn cabs are available, hows about 15 or 18 horn bass bins...its there if you look...say goodbye to diddy speaker projects and get some real bass

makes a mockery of commercial 8 or 10 inch subs which you pay 4-500 each, and use poor drivers, if you do some research, you can easily beat a commercial £4k REL studio.

True. The horn varietes can often be very impressive with some care.

My personal favourites so far though were a pair of 14ft long, 7ft tall 3:1 taper ratio Transmission Lines I designed for a friend using 10in Peerless drivers before Christmas...
