Default Foremost Electronics Ltd - Elma selector switch

I'm going to rebuild my poorly pre amp soon and wanted to replace the cheap selector switch with a decent Elma unit. Looking around for the 2 pole 6 way selector with the thicker gold plating (04-1264) the only place I could find was a certain breakaway competitor to WAD who has them for £40+vat+p&p, presumably from stock.

Thanks to Greg who steered me in the right direction, I contacted the UK distributor of Elma who put me in touch with Foremost Electronics. They offered me one of the above units for £25.81 plus vat and delivery with an approx lead time of 4 weeks. (Details of 04 series switches here.)

Four weeks and a day later, the unit was delivered, well packaged and at a total cost of £34.44 including vat and delivery. They don't take credit cards at the moment so invoice after delivery, and they originally wanted to send it next day delivery for £11. Considering the 4 week wait Royal Mail for £3.50 seemed more appropriate.

I have no other experience of them but wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Simon.
