Hello Richard, just to be clear, you mean when one is sat down to relax in the evening when all the days "stuff" is done. For me this is vinyl but if you are asking which do i listen to for the greatest number of hours then it is easily radio. On a "walkman" at work, one and a half hours commuting a day, portable radio in the kitchen while cooking dinner etc, etc.

Me too. Squeezebox 90% of the time when the family's around, but vinyl when I'm really listening.

I mostly play vinyl at home.

However most of my listening consists of car radio/CD, site radios, laptop, walkie talkies (built in fm radio) and mobile phones (built in fm radio) - generally quite lo-fi really.

I voted vinyl earlier today, but I'm getting a little concerned about the flooding in South Yorkshire. We've been spared the worst of it so far but if the Ulley reservoir does breach Doncaster is in trouble. I've got about 1000 albums downstairs which I'm considering moving upstairs otherwise I'll have to register again so I can vote CD!

Shouldn't take more than about 40 trips up the stairs... Anyone want to lend a hand?

Hi, yes I was thinking of the "serious" music source you use from choice most of the time, rather than, say, many hours listening to a car or workplace radio. (Unless of course you do regard that listening as your main choice.)

On that basis,

Scott puts down the actual source as wishes don't count ...
Phil, Shane, Dave and Chris would be vinyl....
and Shian would be CD...

Hi Richard,

Well, I've put down SqueezeBox but in fact since I listen to my CD collection, FLACed, then you could really say I was listening to CD. It's a lot more convenient this way and it sounds great.
