OFF TOPIC: computer problem
Got an odd problem my with girlfriends laptop.
Whenever i press the L key internet explorer goes to full screen (like pressing F11 does). Any ideas why this is happening? It looks like a key board short cut has been set up or something but i cannot seem to get rid of it. Also the INS (insert) key isnt working properly and does stay defaulted to insert. The laptop is just over a year old. We are using iternet explorer Thanks Paul P.S. Its amazing how many l's you have to type! |

Re: OFF TOPIC: computer problem
Hi Paul
Its usually the Key board playing up, my lad had one with similar problems. I gently prised of some of the key board buttons so that I could get to the mem brain were the graphit coating is placed which makes contact with the buttons. I cleaned the four affending graphit contacts with a cotton bud and they all worked correctly bar one, this was the result of ingress of fluid or dampness, but be warned it can be very tricky, or if its under warrenty take it back for replacement. If you decide to have a go make sure that you take a photo of the key board before you take the Keys off. Acorn |
