Default Trasformer.

Hi all, I need a transformer 240 pri. 12-CT-12 sec. I have found one from RS with 240 pri. 2 x 12 sec. could I connect the two sec. to give me the CT. Bob

Hi Bob,
Yes, as long as the current rating/VA. is adequate. Make are the connections are correct, start of winding "B" goes to finish of winding "A" to provide CT. Starts are usually marked with a spot

Thanks John, the sec. is marked on the data sheet as 12-0 x 12-0, so from reading your post am I correct in saying connect sec 1 - 12 to sec 2 - 0 to archive CT ? Bob
