Kel84 Feedback Wiring Bug
Having reached the end of my hardwiring project for my Kel84 I've hit a snag/bug that I can't seem to resolve. When testing the earth/shield for the feedback and input wiring with a DMM, the right channel tests fine and all the shields for the input wiring and the feedback wiring run back to earth. However on the left channel it's a different story. The input wiring shielding runs to earth fine but when I test the feedback wirings shielding it give a reading of 1 mega-ohm. I've tested the shielding on the feedback wires and it behaves as it should. I'm at a loss as to what the probelm is. So if anyone on the forum could offer suggestions/solutions I'd be grateful.

Re: Kel84 Feedback Wiring Bug
Hello
Trial and error, I'd replace the cable just in case it's at fault. Richard |

Re: Kel84 Feedback Wiring Bug
The clue might be that 1M reading as the only 1Ms in the amp are the input grid leaks R2/3 so check which side of them you have connected the earth for the fb wire. (Sounds like it may be connected to the input signal rather than earth in which case it would read 1M).
