Default Remote control pre/integrated

Any Mileage in a kit with remote selection of source and Volume?

I thought maybe it could be "Modular". Start with the option of a passive with remote selection of source and Volume.
Then leave enough room inside for the circuitry if you want to go "Active".

Also If room inside the existing WD88 and Kel84 amps, then the option to fit remote control would appeal to me.

I Know its not purist, but I do find even remote volume selection to be jolly useful. The source selection less so as its generally necesarry to go to the system anyway when changing records or CD's.

Andy.

I'd certainly opt for remote volume. It can be a pain in the proverbial going backward and forward trying to get the volume 'just so'!

Depends on room layout & equipment location, of course.

Cheers,
Mike.

Not sure about selectors as I tend to use one source at a time (I have to get up to change the side of the record anyway).

More in favour of remote volume (or mute), but have found since using the Pre3/Phono3, the music sounds "Right" at a wider range of volumes than with my old Quad 44. These options would be icing on an already very nice cake.

Oh,

See the discussion on the thread on this page - this has already been discussed.
