I've no idea if it would work or how it would sound but I suspect with the right material, building that spiral could be less difficult than it first appears. Who knows, and do I really care...probably not but it is an interesting concept. |

Faffing about with the Spiral sectioning certainly looks like a lot of effort I agree , Curious tho that they can be so arbitrarily dismissed out of hand without having heard them tho Lee
Posted more out of possible interest to the self build crown than a personal endorsement ! From what I can gather there he doesn't seem to forward the opinion that there is much sonic difference between the Angular slatted versions which appear to be much less effort to construct http://www3.ocn.ne.jp/~hanbei/eng-angular.html |

Hmmm. The spirals periodically resurface on forums. Not the easiest build under the sun, but in principle, there's nothing wrong with the idea, if properly executed. Can't say I've bothered myself, but I might at some point in the future.
