Default Mission 780 SEs

Hi,

I have an old pair of Mission 780SEs (the series from the 90s, not the more recent ones).

I'd like to replace the bass/mid drivers but I guess I won't get originals anymore. Anyone got any advice on a suitable replacement of the right shape / size? Is it worth upgrading these and the tweeters?

Regards

pete

I have a pair of the more recent 780se's and had to replace the bass drivers which i got from an ebay seller but he was an official Mission repairer so he may well have the ones you need.

These are the one I used http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mission-speake...QQcmdZViewItem

You still wont have fresh speakers if you buy NOS (new old stock) drivers for the Missions (which will be ageing, even sat doing nothing in the boxes at the factory -rubber surrounds hardening etc).

I have absolutely no doubt that the WD18BR (fully built cab's) would blow these old Missions away in every respect.

WD25a is same price but requires much more work on cab's, worth it though.
