NO and i never will......

only my opinion but this is codswallop designed to part you with your cash for no real benefit

i'd be more inclined to try a standard 15p fuse with the end caps cleaned with Deox or similar, hey you know... lemon juice works so does COKE, or CPC contact cleaner..... before stumping up £65

"Manufactured to BS 1362" so are all the rest this kinda negates the need to buy this one

"They must not be fitted to a mains cable that is rated lower than 13A e.g. 10A or 5A."

whoopy-do lets state something you learn in GCSE science in a manner that makes it sound of note, and only applicable to these fuses...

"They feature a specially-developed version of our unique Process Q"

Nice..... love a bit of process Q.

OK. So my £65 goes on 1/2 an inch of silver plated copper wire some caps with nickle plate and a tube of cermaic + some magic....

i think i'll spend 47 P for much the same thing without any "Q"

https://www.expertelectrical.co.uk/b...plug-top-fuses

"The UltraFuses are supplied with a DeoxIT™ Gold wipe for treatment just before fitting".

surely Nickel wipe would be more appropriate?

at that cost I would not expect to have to clean it after purchase and before fitting

when i buy a car, the dealer does that for me, takes off the plastic and spruces it up after its journey on the transporter. its ready to use without further cleaning.. which i appreciate

I'd rather buy a fuse from Russ Abbot, at least he loves a party with a happy atmosphere

or was it "special atmosphere" i can't remember

or maybe a "special process/oil/cleaner/etc" words that speak volumes when used in HIFI reviews

i'm off to de-magnetise my cartridge and speakers... I've got a new 500 quid power supply for my demagnetiser
would you care to join me? my listening room is always much quieter after i have done this, we will be able to hear each other

i take it from the head slapping emoji that we are aligned

Dave

Hi Bob/All
Russ Abbott is still going now that’s funny. And I remember the 13 amp fuses he sold not to me I might add. They are what lead me to experiment with a BS 5 Amp Fuse and an MK. Plug I just sanded the end caps of the fuse down to reveal the brass end caps job dun

HA talking about tweaks I still have a hunts green CD pen and a pile of CDs with green lines all around them
