Default WD25A speakers

I realise that the WD25A speakers are no longer available as a kit. So if I want these, I will either have to source the parts from somewhere, or buy second hand. So unless anyone can advise me otherwise, I will post a wanted ad.

I am planning on pairing them with a KEL84, which I haven't got yet. Last time I checked, the KEL84 kit was still available.

Falcon have got the woofers. It depends which tweeter you go for but there shouldn´t be any great difficulty. Crossover parts nothing special apart from the inductors which will need to be made up, I imagine.

I've never built speakers from scratch, or a kit before. I think the difficulty would be building the cabinet. I have no idea how I would go about doing that. I see that the drive units are available from Falcon. Looking at the original speaker kit, it included things like 'reticulated aperiodic foam'. Where would I be able get that?

Reading your last post, have you considered speaker kit's from IPL, they are rather good. BOB

I bought my own pair of WD25A XL speakers from eBay and I'm very pleased with them. There is a pair of 'XLs on eBay at the moment but they have a paint finish which may not be to taste. I've bought duff speakers from eBay before but also bargains so obviously a gamble.

I did see those silver wd25a's on ebay. But they were not to my taste, and a bit chipped. And also quite a distance from me. But I will keep a look out for some more.
