No mate, you aren't going mad. WD seems to have problems with whatever server etc they use.

My post count is correct though at 633.

Yes it does seem to have reverted to an earlier time and so has the number of posts in my case.

Unfortunately I was in the process of changing to a new server, and would have done it this last weekend if we had not been at the Heathrow show, when the server we are currently on failed again.

The problem is that the server failed twice in one day, the second time during the process of restoring the data, and the synchronisation from the latest backup has been lost.

As a result data has been restored from the last backup which was on March 15th!

Sorry about this but we have, as a result, lost all posts since that date.

We will be changing over to the new server next Sunday morning, starting at 6am. I estimate it will take about three hours, but there may be a delay for the rest of Sunday morning whilst the DNS changes propogate through.

I will close down the forum on the 'old' server, so if you see 'forum closed' you will know you haven't yet been able to 'find' the new server.

For the techies amongst you we are changing to a VDSPro service which gives us a Virtual Private Server housed in Docklands, London. Besides being more reliable the speed of access should improve too.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during the process of upheaval and reinstallation.

well I am in a time warp now, only 1 new post, it all seems scrambled, hmmmm....

Peter, you MAY be better doing it in the week from a customer POV, perhaps more people will be looking in over leisure time?

Joy. Still, the new server is good news & should be much more solid than the existing one. Good luck with the changeover Peter!

Shilpa is my favourite,
the blonde, Hannah Spearitt was a mere distraction
