Phono II - Output Impedance?
Hi,
Can anyone please tell me the output impedance of the WAD Phono II? Mine is fitted with 20:1 MC transformers, 75kOhm load resistors, 5751 valves and the output wiring is two half metre lengths of IPL IC2 hardwired from the PCB to Eichmann Bullet Phonos. Thanks in advance. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - EDIT - D'oh, I found two answers in one of the numbered threads in the old place: http://www.worldaudiodesign.com/foru...ad.php?t=17342 According to that thread it is in the order of 2.5k to 3.5k and therefore well matched to my 51.1k Stepped Attenuator, shout if you disagree! Re: Phono II - Output Impedance?
Hi Lord,
No that is correct at 3K5 allowing for the 1K series R. You may be able to reduce the 1K somwhat depending in what capacity cable and how long, but frankly I wouldn't bother. John aka Dr John |

Re: Phono II - Output Impedance?
Thanks Doctor,
I just wanted to confirm that the output impedance was significantly lower than the shunt resistor of my attenuator. |
