Default Voltage doubler question?

I am building a small PS for 2*45mA, 210v.
I just happen to found some dirt cheap 180 va toroids, with single 6,3v secondaries. I think that I could buy three of those in 9,90 euros each and build center-tapped source for normal full-wawe, feeding extra two "backwards" in 6,3v, and havin 230-0-230. ( local wall voltage minus transformer losses?)
Or, I could simply use just two trans to 0-230. I just think that this ~230v aint quite enough for filtering without C first-filter so how about a voltage doubler, anyone tried such? Any other considerations accept possible unbalancing if trannies not matched enough, or cocncerning that voltage doubler?

I vote for your first plan, 3 trafos, 1 orientated correctly 6.3v secondary of other two parallel connected to 6.3v secondary of first. connect end of 2nd transformer 230v winding to start of 3rd trafo 230v winding for 460vct, giving 207v choke input, small first cap probably 1µF should raise B+ 10 or 20 volts. Using valve rect 5r4 or 5u4 will drop same.

Never tried voltage doubler. Choke input is a massive improvement, voltage doubler is a step in the other direction. No brainer.

As Paul says but...

What about this one?

TRA0201

€24 inc. tax and 2*230V @ 100mA + 6.3V@1.2A + 6.3V@3A.

Seems to meet the spec.

a-ha.
Now that looks really nice place that "Ask Jan First", thanks.
And so far votes 1-0 to not to go to voltage doubler.
