If you weren't so far away I'd lend you my pair of Frugal horn mk3 (Fostex 126) so you could hear what you are missing.
The "big" Dittons seen to have cult status and prices to match.

7 or 8 years ago nobody wanted Dittons. Even 66s could be had cheap. 15s were 25quid. all changed.
They are well made speakers as the cast chassis etc give evidence too. I had 44's and 15's. nearly 30 yrs ago We thought nothing at the time to upgrade them to what we thought were superior. It could have been Mission or whatever was in the market place at the time. In fact , since I got rid of my 44's and went to Tannoy, I aint seriously used anything else. Funny old game isn't it? |
