Thanks

Hi Adrian, new or used? New,

Or for used pop a Wanted ad on the bb, or try the usual suspects like eBay, Gumtree etc

Well if you get your skates on there’s one on Fleebay now

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266168547...Bk9SR-zL-OHhYQ

Not guarantees of quality of build or components/repairs tho, but on the whole they are pretty bulletproof
Good luck
Martin

I thought they looked like ‘Bob Orbell’ Tx covers. Known heritage should make it very worth considering. Pick up only, so must be room for a bit of haggling. Located at Weston-Super-Mare, so if you want to pursue it, Adrian, I’d be happy to help with the collection.

Wow - thanks chaps. Bob PMd me and after getting that provenance I bought it.

Greg, many thanks for your offer. I just messaged the seller to see how long he would hold on to it as I have long-Covid and am a bit weary. If you would like to collect and listen to it for a while I would be happy for you to do so.It would make collection a bit easier for me (possibly I could even do so by train). But, before I finally decide let me talk to my wife about a long w/e by the seaside in the next few weeks. Thanks again for your offer

Adrian

I once made the mistake of taking my dog to see what the sea looked like - ended up at Weston-super-mare. Big mistake! It was low tide and the sea was barely visible about a mile away.

Not to worry Adrian, I have just spoken to your beloved and she said, if that is what you want dear, then by it, we only live once, now isn't that nice of her . Bob

Thought I recognised those solid covers but was too polite to mention it Bob, and Adrian you’ve got a good, well sorted piece of kit there.
Glad to hear it’s all sorted
