Now that's pure class !!! Luverly build

What are the o/p TX's ?? (I have a couple of little-used Mullard EL34's knocking about, that I intend to press into service some time!)

Nice to see the finishing touches applied Al.
It's a lovely amp; one to be proud of.

I'm not actually that clever.
It is in fact acrylic mirror (perspex). bonded to the ali chassis below.

there are a few chinese tx's knocking around, i had 2, eastern audio, which andrew had, too,

and I suspect they may be these...they are just described as silvery finish, they are listed on a website, too, branded as mars. build quality...stacking, and packing, was first rate.

http://www.vt4c.com/shop/program/main.php?group_id=7

you can get them on ebay from a few sources

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-5K-SE-AUDIO-...QQcmdZViewItem

if you can't find 5k, I suggest 10k for el34 would be very suitable, distortion rises hugely with lower loads.

way to find them is goto ebay.com and put in 300b transformer into the search box, worldwide, tick title and description, and see what's going

I found them not quite as much to my taste as the eastern audio, these were a little top heavy, I think mine were 3k5, in a se 300b amp, but for the price a very fine buy indeed, and would still make a lovely looking and sounding amp as shown here
