What's the feeling about this version of the 300b?

dosn't look like the whole kit is there, no tag boards, so was it his idea to point to point wire it, nice sounding set of parts though,

Well, it was WAD's flagship for the last 3 or 4 years.
I have a pair, they are very good in stock form, even better with battery bias on the 6au6 and an increase in the size of C4.
All the iron is very good, I upgraded to Sowter OPTs but the difference was very small. I also experimented with an off-board choke-input psu, but again the difference wasn't worth the money. Its a very good, well-balanced, design, no weak points and hard to improve on.
I don't remember ever hearing a bad word about them from anyone who has actually heard them.
Someone should give Colin (Toppsy) a nudge, I think he was after a pair having heard them with his electro-statics.

I would have thought they have to be worth at least that sort of money, it's about half price, mind you finding someone who wants to build them might be difficult, much easier to sell when they're made up and running

I think them not being built put people off a tad, I wouldn't mind building them myself, as wad amps are quite nice and easy with tagboards, but can't afford now.

still if he keeps on reducing

kel84 does run out of puff a tad, but I really like him, these are well, I am not sure I like single endeds anymore... too idiosyncratic and variable
