Hi all,
Just a note to say I will be incommunicado 11th/12th Dec as I am popping into hospital for an hernia transplant.

Good luck John, too much lugging valve amps about? Just don't have it transplanted to the other side

A chum of mine has just had that op, he was a bit sore at first, but much better now, so all the best John.

Hi all,
Thank you for all your kind words etc.
Yes it was a big S/S amp that finally did for me and a colleague (trashed his weak back).
I think that what tees me off is that in my much younger days (25yo) I could carry a 25" table type colour TV as though it was a bag of sugar and then of course the ladywife compounds the felony by saying " you're 70 not 30" great that's all I need
