This could be the race of the Century! It does concern me that there could be drivers willing to take dangerous risks to win..

Chris.

I hope we don’t see a Schumacher-ist crash deciding the championship. I would like to see a good clean win for Lewis, but whoever wins I hope it is a fair win on the track. Not a controversial decision by the stewards.

Sorry for a negative on this but, I think it is added unnecessary pollution, and that goes for all motor sport . Bob

Is that the cars racing Bob or the thousands that drive to watch the race? This is a good point and I expect electric races to start in the near future. Yesterday I was watching 2 euro fighters practice tactics above Nene Valley, the sound from the jet fighters was amazing, I just love sound. There is an intregal connection between sound and enginnering aspects of transport.

Yes, I'm sure Max will have his day to come but it would be nice to see Lewis win tomorrow.

Electric racing's been around for several years as Formula E,

https://www.fiaformulae.com/

F1 started at Silverstone in 1950 and lots of vehicle development, materials and safety has followed and now electric car development. Here's a page worth a quick read,

Well well what a race!
Should Hamilton have been penalised for his run off?
Overtaking safety car allowed ?
Think the new guy at the head of the FIA (Michael Massey) needs to get his head together, or was he a Max supporter?
Seems it was all a total shambles and a move calculated to allow Max to win
On a side issue both the Middle East tracks look terrible very short run offs if any and concrete right up to the safety barriers not a patch on some of the great classical circuits or even some of the better newer ones IMO
Think this’ll rumble on for a while tho.

Yes indeed “we was robbed” shame for Max it must seem a hollow victory. To be fair the rules are what they are but the safety car is a last resort and surely the technology exists to restart the race with 1) the same track order with any back-markers still in place and 2) with existing time gaps so as not to penalise drivers who were ahead. Time they sorted out the rules and definitely stopped the flip-flopping we saw from Masi under pressure.
