Default The Glass MM phono stage.

I am interested in this phono stage, however do you think the S/N of 59db is on the low side. If I go for this I will be using some step up transformers. Thanks.

Yes, I would say it was a little low, depends how they measured it. Its a gamble without finding someone who has one.

Hi Nick. I emailed the German manufacturer and they sent this reply. I think I may give this phono pre a go. Thanks. TR.

"The. S/N of 59db is measured linear. The S/N of most audio units are declared with a quantifikation filter that consideres the human sense of hearing. This is called A – quantification. This unit would have a S/N ratio of 76 db according to a A – quantification."
