Default Bellari Phono Preamp

This phono pre uses a single ECC83 i.e. on half per channel, if I am not mistaken.

Does anyone know if this is an Op Amp pre with a CF output or does all the gain come from the valve?

If the latter, how does it manage that?

I am somewhat interested but want an all-valve solution and reviews I have read do not seem clear.

Thanks

Mark

I don't know the answer to your question unfortunately, but for what it's worth I got a VP129 recently because the phonoII wasn't available anymore and I'm very happy with it.

I got it for £150 new on ebay, £40 cheaper than the sellers commercial website. It was greatly improved by swapping the stock valve with a Svetlana flying C (thanks to KeithG for the valve).

Thanks Phil

I take it this is an all-valve design?

hi Mark, in case you havne't seen this there is a review

I suspect the only way to do this circuit is like the single opamp solution with active feedback in one hit.
