Default garrard discomax80

I saw a twin turntable in a ditch today. It was well overgrown so had been there weeks if not months.
The name was, as best I remember, "Garrard Discomax 80" or very similar.

Can anyone suggest whether the innards would be of interest, either to myself or indeed to anyone else on the forum.

I managed to find this, could be what you're looking for?

"The Model SP25 was launched with the Mark I version. I was so popular it continued for many years up to the Mark IV version. A disco version, the Disco 80 was also produced."

Thanks for finding that. Searching "SP25" I found this from theturntablefactory.com

"Over the years various high performance changers were made, the most popular being the R.C.80 and culminating in the Zero 100S, which had a precision parallel tracking pickup arm. But it was the budget SP25 that ended up in most homes, metamorphosing through numerous model changes to keep it competitive.

Despite the company's interest in mass production, it never lost sight of more serious hi-h requirements and in 1954 produced the world famous Model 301 turntable, with its high power motor, heavy cast aluminum turntable, three speeds with variable control and meticulously designed and produced bearings."

So it doesn't look like it is one of the quality ones, and not worth being seen fly-tipping in reverse (other than to clean up the countryside).
(Unless anyone else advises otherwise.)

If it's an SP25, leave it in the ditch!
