Wink Re: WD Shop Open But

Yes and no....... Peter wasn't making a good enough profit and that was one problem.

There will be no more increases for some time now.

And when VAT goes up to 20% the prices will be held.

There is no easy way of putting this. I need to be profitable, to take on the existing prices and then have problems would not be good.

What I have realised, is the sheer quality of the equipment, it will last and last. And if it ever goes wrong it is simple to fix.

Regards

Dave

Yes I can agree with you just to note I wasn’t having a dig at you Dave it’s just my view but I do feel the cost difference for example between a WD84 Single input and a Multi input is over the top as all that’s added to the amp is some more phono sockets and the WD relay switcher Reminds me of when Peter priced a 2A3 valve socket at £16.00 when you could buy the same socket at £3.50 just an example

I note a few typo's in the valve section!

Not all valves are created equal. Do you know that the valve you bought last moth is the same as the one you need to buy now? Most suppliers chop and change their factories depending on prices. This is not goof for audio. We buy our vales for an importer who has been selling valves since 1958, 52 years ago!

More expensive perhaps, but still good value considering the sound quality on offer.Where are you going to get another amp to compete with the KEL84 at that price?

I think we need to give Dave a break here chaps,he is effectively starting from scratch after all.

Ooops! Typo's corrected! (possibly?)

The other thing, is that it makes what you already have more valuable!
