Richard, did changing the C11/12 caps make much of a difference? And has anyone tried changing the C1/2 caps?
I fully understand the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" but I'm just curious to know if anyone has changed these and the difference it made.

I think that most on here have changed most things on the board, you will get all sorts of comments, but don't dismiss the stock capacitors, I have tried far too many, some make almost no difference, others sound too bright and some sound dull, in the end I found that polypropylene, gave me the best overall sound, and that is what Matthew now supply's. Hi Martin, My first Phono3S came with the 6 small caps. I ordered the second one with black Soniqs 0.1uF 630V so didn't compare with standard orange drop polyesters. I vaguely remember building it first with those higher voltage black Soniqs, then trying the lower voltage blue ones, and thinking it was better or at least as good so left them in, impossible to AB so can't be sure, but never had the urge to change them out.
