Re: Operation of an EL/32W
Come on Bob... if the amp was shipped to him from me yesterday, without an address/contact details, that'd be difficult don't you think?

Re: Operation of an EL/32W
Hello there, I am the one you seek! I purchased this amp on Sunday, and it arrived yesterday ( Tuesday). I couldn't post a reply yesterday because I'm a new member and there was a problem with my membership. The amp sounds fantastic driving my Rogers LS7's, it is only the second tube amp I've owned, the first being a kit from Douk Audio that I built in November, which I had numerous problems with, but eventually sorted, and the sound of valves blew me away! Was going to buy an amp from China, but saw this listed on ebay, with the same output tubes as the Chinese were using, so bought it on the spur of the moment. From what I can gather from experimenting with it, the 3 position knob on the front is a tape monitor selector, it has 2 tape inputs, and the 2 toggle switches select which speakers to use, either left, right or both. There's 2 sets of speaker terminals, and it seems you can mix and match which speakers you want to listen to, from either pairs you have running. Very strange! It's a very well built amp indeed, whoever built it knew what he was doing, I had the base off yesterday.

Re: Operation of an EL/32W
At last, an amp that makes my ProAcs sound like they should! I have a pair of Studio 150's, that always get really good write ups, but always sounded a little clinical and analytical on all my transistor amps, I much preferred the Rogers to them. However, after connecting them to the WAD amp, they sound fantastic - highly detailed still, but much sweeter and smoother sounding. Had these speakers for a couple of years now, can finally use them.
