Cool Re: Tasty DD on Ebay...

Why would it worry you to death David. Have you ever worked or lived amongst these people - I have. When a Turk gives you his word, it has real value.

I've always found that an honest man or woman is just that - it has nothing to do with race, creed or colour.

There is something truly wonderful about this BB. I post a picture of a turntable because it achieved almost mythical status when I was young and impressionable, and I want to share my excitement at finally seeing a decent picture of it.
Within three posts, the thread has turned into a dicussion on the morality of the Turkish nation. I'm not being sarky here, I really do think it's wonderful!

I totally agree! It's what makes this BB more than just an audio gear question/answer type talking shop.

It's more like being sat in the pub with a pint of Witham Wobbler and your mates with lively discussion branching off in all directions!

Yes I think it's the fact that we are mostly on these Islands so within geographical reach, and that we make use of that by meeting up.

In the larger world there is more mud throwing because people are not accountable, they can hind behind an internet persona.
this is why I don't like user names, in the past there have been people on audio asylum as one of many examples, who have an axe to grind (friend of an oem for instance) that attack every statement of certain other people just because a minor statement might have been made which is against the interestes of the commercial party conscerned.

Or to put it how someone off Vintagetubestalk (it might have been Steve Bench I don't recall exactly who said it) once put it, "full of industry toadies" (as in toad of toad hall).

Other groups have sprung up to try and allow the decent people with a valid point to express that without being criticised at every turn, but those places have for the most part died a death of attrition probably because there aren't sufficient contributors.

I find the unfriendly places have evolved to discussing rubbish or stuff that's all been said before but on the whole they are going down the wrong line, and don't want telling.

So here I am anoying you lot.

Tony,
what I want to know is, is this Witham Wobbler as good as Kelham Island - Pale Rider or Tomothy Taylor's - Landlord.

Also, pertinant to the thread is - the arm on the Kenny is very, very good (I know I have one) so, not having the h/shell is a big loss, as I believe this to be very important to the calibre of the arm as a whole - just thought I'd let you know.

Also someone has some bidding software in play here as well - you have been warned.

I have tried Pale Rider, that's my type of brew really, the Witham Wobbler was heavier and less hoppy, very good though!

The only problem with the Travel Inn is the beer, still they have Stella which is usually difficult to ruin. The conversation always makes up for the lack of real-ale. To have both though is always welcome and a bonus!

Eh? Was this thread about a record player thingy? Sorry...
