Default Good Mic for In Room Measurement.

Has anyone got any recommendations??

I downloaded a signal generator and dB meter software for my laptop and tried to take a measurement. It was just all over the place. I'm guessing it was the small computer mic I was using, I think I possible need a good omni directional mic to measure in room response.

Behringer ECM-8000 at £35-45 depending on supplier.

I think Nick has one?

There is a panasonic capsule you can get for a few quid and use to make your own - here's a link to an account of how to do it

Cheers,

I was looking at the ECM 8000. My friend wants to set up his home cinema so we are planning to go halves on the cost of the gear so should'nt be all that bad if we get one and a suitable preamp.
