Re: troubles
Hi all,
I have a problem I never encountered on WAD's b/b, or indeed elsewhere, when a website is posted on a post, I click and 99% of the time nothing happens, if i click again, I'm taken back to the top of the thread - why perplexed of Guadix. - Black Stuart |

Re: troubles
Stuart,
Are you left or right clicking? I normally right click and 'open in a new window'. (If I'm going to use Windows, I like to use many Windows!). Sometimes, if the original page hasn't stopped loading, Micro$oft IE decides it is more important to fully load it (like you originally asked) than to listen to your subsequent requests. So, try to 'Right Click' and put your new request into a separate Window or wait until the page has fully loaded before asking it to goto/do something else. If that doesn't work, buy a Mac, like I will do one day! |

Re: troubles
can some kind person tell me how to put pictures on the BB
it seems you can only do it from a URL, how do I do that?, you used to be able to upload from you own files, Help

Re: troubles
When replying to a thread, if you move further down the page to buttons below the message field, you will see a button entitled "Manage Attachments". If you click this, it will allow you to upload any of the more common picture types, and also gives you information on the maximum size and dimensions of the picture. It allows you to select pictures on your local machine and upload them to the BB machine. You can then later go back and remove them if need be. If you want something a little more permanent, then you may have to link to a web based picture hosting site. Most ISPs supply a few megabytes of webspace with your Internet connection though, so why not use that ?? You don't need any web skills, and using something like CuteFTP, you can just "dump" pictures there, and then link to them from the BB. HTH.
PS Scrap that first bit. Remote file uploads have been disabled on the BB. You will need to use webspace and then link to them in the post using the "[img]" tags.

Re: troubles
sorry to be thick
when I go to Manage attachments the only thing I can see is 'upload file from an URL' and a list of file types, nothing to browse my own files, confused

Re: troubles
Yes... I have just noticed that David, and have edited my last post. You will have to use webspace or a photo hosting site and link to the picture using the "[img]" tags.
