Music Zone in administration
Aparrantly called in on the 3rd Jan. Can't say I'm overly surprised. The two local shops (one was an MVC before MZ bought them) have now closed. Not a great loss in some ways -the service I recieved from those characters was useless. But some of the prices were good.
BTW -possible contributing factor: anyone else noticed that album prices have tumbled in Virgin recently? A goodly proportion of those in the racks in Hull, aside from new releases, are now around £6.99.

Re: Music Zone in administration
Obviously a protracted process. Don't get me started on HMV though -still have the gall to charge nearly double what most other places do. How do they get away with it?

Re: Music Zone in administration
I dont know, its years since I bought anything from them! I am near a Borders that has an excellent music department with a very good selection of £4.99 or less CD's, they also stock the more obscure material that most high-street stores dont stock.

Re: Music Zone in administration
Hi
Here in Bath we have 2 Fopps that easily beat HMV for price and almost range, plus they are doing vinyl again and in nearby Bristol there are now 3 Fopps. To expand a business when sales are supposed to be falling amazes me. Basil |
