Default Output transformer wiring

Hi-i now have some better (i hope ! ) output transformers to try on
"el cheapo" the 832 PP amp and i just need to check the wiring.

They seem to be ex WAD stock and are numbered as TRANS-200 8K ohm CT
and dated 04/98

The 3 upper tags i take to be centre HT and outers to anodes and the bottom 3 tags not sure.

One is common and then 3 ohm and 6 ohm.

The LH tag i guess as common but how to measure the other two to see which is 3 or 6 ?

Philip

Measuring the DC resistance might give a good enough hint. Other than that, you need to inject some AC into the primary (or secondary, you choose) and see what comes out.

Yes, if they're like the 300bpp ones (they're from the similar era) then the end tag will be 0 and the next 2 in logical 3 and 6 (or 4 and 8) progression. Putting a meter on 0 and finding the lower of the 2 resistances to the other tags should give you the 3 (or 4). You'll only be looking at fractions of an ohm though so a decent dmm.
