Default hd83 wiring to headphone socket?

Can anyone tell me where to attach the 0ohm (blue) wire from the output transformer? Is it to the earth tag on the headphone socket? Thanks

ps, while I've connected the various output secondaries together and am not using the output connections on the pcb, I'd be grateful for an explanation of how (or whether) they work as per the original instructions.

Hi Buddam,
I'll have a look today if I get the chance. Do you not have the build manual?

I bought mine s/hand from Ian Ramsey. He did a couple of mods which I think are very worthwhile - he drilled the front panel and installed a low light blue LED, very stupid of WAD not to do this on all their amps, how many of us inadvertantly left the amp on all night. When they did it on the Pre11 they used a Big Brother (we are watching you) right in your face version.

Secondly Ian sheilded the mains Tx from the o/put Txs with an angled piece of steel sheet. This last mod I think is well worthwhile but probably better done using copper sheet.

Both these mods should have been part of the original kit.

Hi I haven’t followed this but the O/P transformer has four seconderies arranged according to required impedance all have the blue as the 0hms tap what impedance you require.

Thanks Stuart & Mick

impedance required is >250 Ohms. I've connected the secondaries, just don't know where the 1st blue wire is connected. Stuart - I have a manual, but there's no wiring diag, save for heater wires. I've got a blue LED which I'll fit, with a 4.7K res to reduce laser effect.
