300b SE amp and wd25
Hi all,
Does anybody have any experience or advice on the pairing of a 300b SE amp and wd25t speakers. They would seem to be theoretically on the cusp efficiency wise. However experience shows me that 8 W of D class drives them more than adequately for my listening room. Any help to a valve novice would be appreciated. |

Re: 300b SE amp and wd25
It all depends on the size of the room and the max level you want to play at. At 1m a pair of WD25T will deliver 91dB SPL. So for 8W that gives you a max SPL of 100dB.
At 2m listening distance you'll theoretically lose 6dB of SPL, but not in a smaller room as reflections from the walls etc will bolster this somewhat. Basically if you are happy with the SPL from 8W of class D you'll be more than happy with 8W of 300BSE. |
