Default 6550 Flashover

Okay. I just had a flashover incident on my 6550 power amp. This has never happened before! It was on start-up but I couldn't see for sure where it originated (other than it was the left side of the amp). No tubes or fuses blew and it seems to be working just fine. I've read the FAQ post on rectifier flashover, but since nothing blew and this has never happennd before, do I need to worry or is this possibly a component-ageing issue? Any guidance apreciated. = John

This is far from uncommon! here are lots of references on this forum - try searching for items such as "flashover", "5U4" etc.
