Re: fuse ratings
Thanks Phil I meant plug fuse, but I suppose I can use a 5A fuse.

Re: fuse ratings
My Peter Belt fuses are not zirconium encrusted. He swears that it degrades the sound unless you use an odd number of them greater than 1, which is clearly not possible . Apparently lead solder in low fat marg is the way to go.
Anyway Philip, 3A in KEL84 AND PSU II? Adrian |

Re: fuse ratings
Yes. 1A and 2A fuse exist for mains plugs.
Other values are 3,5,7,10and 13A for UK mains plugs. DTB

The zirconium drastically reduces the flux redoubling inversion. The best fuses are, of course, no fuses. My mains plugs are specially prepared by 105 year old men on an island in Indonesia. Instead of fuses they use a unique type of air which is rated at either 3 or 5 amps. The 13 amp version is proving difficult to create. The resulting sound has a very low noise floor, no distortion, no crosstalk, no treble harshness, no bass bloom. In fact, no music either! They only cost £1,000 per fuse, so they must be good, mustn't they?! Or you could buy the ones from audiophilecandy, which actually allow the music to breathe!
