Perhaps they should move out of hifi altogether. I've yet to hear a decent speaker made by Linn and owning an LP12 was akin to masochism. Ok, the CD12 was good but at that price....

Still, they managed to con a generation.

No great loss imo. The amount of folk taking this to mean the death of cd is hilarious.

I would be more concerned that HMV is turning itself into a computer game and clothing store than with this. Not the best way to judge I admit, but I listened to the CD12 as part of Linn's best setup supposedly at a Heathrow show and was bored.

So Linn after slagging off CD for years then makes its own and claim that only there player makes CD sound any good . Well the CD12 was okay if a little lacking in colour but that cost !
Now they want to stop and move into HDD and Jukebox type players well best of luck .

Did anyone else suspect that the K9 (canine) cartridge was an in joke that they had the market so hoodwinked they could get away with anything? Heard one on an axis with Kan speakers and it wasn't a sound I wanted to race out and buy.

Back in the good old days when Oz had Hifi shows I heard stacks of LP12s but only ever heard three that matched the hype.

Do I read this correctly:I am getting the impression your a bunch of Linn haters!am I right? lol:-the Fons not only looked like it was built in a shed but was built like it was built in a shed!:-prob lasted like it was too,so even if all 4 or 5 Fons owners united it wouldn't make a great deal of difference:-now if you started talking "Oracle"!
