Does your arm look like this: http://www.vinylengine.com/phpBB2/al...hp?pic_id=1588

I dismantled one of these arms a while back. From memory the tonearm wires were tied in a knot at the headshell end and just tucked into the arm-tube. If you untie the knot, you should be able to pull the wires back down the arm-tube.

Can I suggest you check the bearings before you start dismantling?
Mine were completely knackered .

The Linn geometry is the same so it should fit. The collar that secures the AR arm and Linn arm to the plinth appears to have the same external dimensions. However, having just compared the AR collar with a Linn Ittok collar, the orientation of the 3 securing bolts is different!

The Rega arm has a larger effective length so I guess could be made to fit, but would involve elongating the present hole and possibly making up a mounting plate to cover up the existing hole.

Hope this is of some help.

I hope the tt is better than my ar legend or all this work is for a substandard system (compared to a cheaper Lenco).

The cardas is 33ga but I'm not sure about the Satcure wire it's a lot thinner and more fiddly to work with maybe 36ga, but i can thoroughly recommend the Satcure it's a real bargain at the price.
