Cool Re: Sony Ps-2250 Dd Tt

Philip,
it might be a goodie but the way he's going to pack it, is **** - sellotape do me a favour!

The platter should be removed and placed under the deck/transit screws must be done up/the arm counterweight should be removed/the lid should be removed - all removed items should be bubble wrapped and rigid foam and foam chips used. the lid should then be taped with gaffer tape to the deck - no rocket science and it only takes a few minutes - caveat emptor. I know from recent experience.

Stuart-i remember your experience with the Kenwood deck.if it doesn't go much higher i might bid again.
i tend to collect if possible-so far ive been to Stroud and Manchester (in the last few years) for turntables and Chatham isn't that far from me.
i was trying to find out if it was servo (probably) or quartz controlled.
ive got a tatty GL75 coming tomorrow (i hope) to play with which should be an improvement on the Dual 1019 i rebuilt recently but i just liked the look of the sony and it would seem to be easy to re-plinth.

Philip,
unless I read it wrong, he won't allow a pick up. I suggest you contact the vendor and tell him how you would like it packed - if he gets bolshy - you have your answer.

Stuart-yes its me not reading the details !

i have found some better (but probably more expensive) turntables to lust over so will give this one a miss now.

£35 for carriage is a bit steep.
