Default Slatedeck Plinths now available

Slatedeck plinths for your Lenco or Garrard turntables are now available from our catalogue. http://www.world-designs.co.uk/acata...able_Kits.html

Hand crafted from Welsh Slate, these plinths add the required amount of mass to support your Lenco or Garrard idler drive turntable in the way it was designed. In addition the top Garrard Twin Tier system provides an isolated base and Slate Arm Carrier to enhance arm performance further.

Currently the Garrard plinths are only available with SME 3009 cutouts (suitable adapters are available for arms such as the Hadcock from several pickup arm manufacturers). For the Lenco turntables it is possible to fit a Rega or Hadcock arm in the hole left by the original arm with a little modification.

We are working with Slatedeck on a universal armboard which will allow other arms to be accommodated in the future, as well as providing for Lenco G88/G99 designs. Please watch this space for news.

Very nice indeed. Pity there's no double version for the Goldring's -then again, the single looks like it'd withstand nuclear attack. I've got my eye on a 99 that's for sale locally. Tempting indeed.

Hi,

I think there is a double version, it's the last option in the catalogue, but doesn't have a picture with it:

Slatedeck Lenco 30mm Plinth Twin Tier Ref: SLATELENCOTW
Ultra-heavy 30mm Twin Tier for extra isolation Welsh Slate Plinth cut to suit Lenco turntables such as GL75 or L69. Complete with gold plated adjustable feet for levelling.

So there is. Mere blithering on my part. Again. Just make like I didn't say anything. Sorry about that.

Hi Peter,

A bit more information in the catalogue would be helpful. In particular, are isolation levelling spikes a three or four point mount? What are the depth and width dimensions? In the delux models, how is the decoupled armboard supported?

Best wishes,

Greg

I'm working on a descriptive article which will explain all, together with more pictures, that is due to appear today (if I can get off the forum)!

There's seven 401s on Ebay at the moment and seven 301s (including two greasers) not to mention eight assorted Lencos, and that's just in the UK.

Who knows, the market may get flooded soon.
